Starting NutriSystem together! #NSNation

Nathan has tried NutriSystem before and he lost over 30lbs in only a few short months. Then the holidays came and I got busy and he kind of stopped eating the food- so his weight stopped dropping. Recently I decided that I really need to lose weight, but I know I can’t do it on my own so Nathan and I are starting together!

I am so excited to start this journey and even more excited that I get to do it with my amazing husband. We both have quite a bit to lose. Nathan is 345 and I am 209. Nathan is shooting for 250, and me 135! So together we have over 150lbs to lose!

Picking out the food was super easy- they have over  choices!

Then I read the Getting Started Guide which advises you to be prepared!

The 28 Day package option comes with over 112 meals! Times that by two, and you really need a dedicated space! We picked a place that was super easy to get to- right next to everyone else’s food. We also kept about half the snacks down stairs in our rec room where we normally ‘hang out’.

The getting started guide also says to take a full on body shot now so you have something to look back on- but I havent done that yet. Maybe next week? I just started yesterday, but my lunch was by far my favorite meal!

Nathan however liked his dinner the best! Vegetable Lasagna!

      Lots of it is shelf stable, but there is frozen too. I think like with all food, some I will like and some I will not. So far I have liked 7/8 things I have ate! 🙂

    Can you add fruits and vegetables to the program to supplement the meals?

      Certain non–starchy veggies are unlimited because they are packed with nutrients that your body craves and are beneficial to an overall healthy lifestyle.

      NutriSystem recommends getting in at least four of the suggested servings sizes each day as part of the meal plan, but they’re all unlimited!

      My favorites are-

      Asparagus
      Bell Peppers, red or green
      Broccoli
      Brussels Sprouts
      Carrots
      Celery
      Cucumbers
      Green Beans
      Lettuce
      Snap Peas
      Spaghetti Squash
      Tomato Juice
      Tomatoes

      I can eat as many of them as I want! 🙂

    I’ve always been skeptical of programs like this because I’m not sure how the food will taste. Seems like this food is good and works though!
