Growing up in a family full of avid readers meant that both my mother and grandmother were into word games. Which in turn means I was forced to sit around the table during a family game night and be crushed by the superior vocabularies of both my mom and my grandmother as we played Scrabble. Not very fun.
Now that I am older, I really enjoy word games! However my husband is not a very good speller and I find that the my older kids really want to be included, but Scrabble is a bit to hard for them to play right now. With Kerflip! everyone has a shot at winning; master wordsmiths and young pupils alike!
Game play is super easy. When you spot a word, shout it out, and start your timer! Players are scored in the order that they shout out their words. The sooner you call a word, the earlier you get to score! Why is it important to score early? Because tiles are worth more (10 points) the first time they’re used; once used, they’re flipped and are worth only 5 points to players who haven’t scored yet. So, typically, the longer you take to call a word, the fewer higher-scoring (unused) tiles will be left when it’s your turn to score.
Creative Foundry has brought the competition back to family game night! Kerflip! is for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up, and is available for $24.99. For information or to purchase this game, visit www.kerflip.com. To see an instructional video about how to play this game, see below!

I think the letter X would be the hardest just like in Scrabble.
Z would be the hardest letter.
X is the hardest to use in word games, most definitely!
Either Q or X
