Like most kids, my children have a bus stop they must wait at in the morning before school! When it rains, I keep them in the van till the bus comes, but they still get drenched on the way from the van to the bus and then from the bus into the school.
I’ve purchased many rain coats and umbrellas before but they tend to get lost or misplaced and the kids tell me they are uncomfortable to wear when dry and itchy when wet!
A few weeks ago we received the Western Cheif Kids Hello Kitty line to test for comfort and see how truly waterproof it is. With the lack of rain Pennsylvania has gotten this year I was afraid we would never get to test it out. Then yesterday the mother of all rain storms hit us! So we got Carlee all dressed up and sent her out to splash around!
When she got back inside, I am pleased to report she was dry everywhere but her knees which were unprotected! The inside was still super dry and with one strong shake, all the water flew off the outside of the jacket and it was ready to be hung in the closet for our next rain storm!
The only problem we have had with this entire outfit is getting Carlee out of it!! But I’ll take it because I have finally found an outfit that can withstand the bus stop!
