They also all came with a fire ring, charcoal grill and picnic table.

IMG_7662t dark, we took the table down and converted the dining area into a large bed that all five of my kids were able to fit on to watch some cartoons before bed. (See what I mean about sleeping more than six?)

IMG_7685The beautiful facilities at Oak Creek include a heated outdoor swimming pool, multiple playgrounds, fully stocked catch and release pond,  basketball court, an arcade, teen only fun room. laundry area, free Wi-Fi through out the park, cable TV at every site and a full calendar of activities! IMG_7678Most of our week was spent at the huge outdoor pool. The three water slides proved to be the life of the party for my boys, although climbing up and down tired them all out fast. The younger kids were a bit to little for the slides so instead enjoyed the water bouncy house that was on the other side of the pool area. Our weekend was also filled with Rainy Adventure, as it rained part of Saturday and we splashed in puddles. We also spent quite some time at the play ground-

My family goes camping every weekend at a local campground. We have a permanent spot at one of the sites. I’ve been through many RVs and even own one myself. I’ve gotta say, the RV you stayed in is pretty nice. Especially the fridge. Most have little fridges that don’t hold much. That campground looks like a fun place to visit.

  2. We have stayed here twice and because of our last experience will not go back. The campground is quite nice; very wooded, three playgrounds, pond, lots of activities; that is why we choose to go back. The management is the problem. They are very rude and not accommodating in the least.

  3. Michael Schaden has ruined this park. I will never visit again.

I tayed at this campground and even looked into reserving a seasonal site, that day I visited 4 campgrounds prior and at the previous campgrounds received only a list of like 5 sites available. When we came to look at Oak Creek I was surprised to get a list of about 50 sites available. They were quite pricey, still looked around we found 2 sites that we liked but something was just off. Thankfully we had the sense to ask some current seasonal owners their opinion. 3 out of 4 we asked were pulling out of the campground for all the same reasons. The prices was raised 400$ in one season, the new manager is mouthy, rude, and can fly off the handle at any point. Needless to say I will not pay anyone 3,600$ with the reviews I received. I am so glad I asked around and I encourage everyone to do the same.

  5. I worked here for a few months last year when the new manager first took ownership, and needless to say it was only a few months for a reason. Mike is rude to customers, rude to employees when under pressure, and some of the comments he would make before and after opening (about yearly campers, and in general) were horrible. He is horribly bigoted, and I am so glad I am not there anymore.

Oak Creeks manager is a total joke. He belittled my children all weekend long, insisting that they call him MR Michael. Not just Michael and certainly not Mikey or Mike. I was there for a VACATION. Not a lesson in his name for my kids. All my kids remember of our vacation is Michael, and NOT in a good way.

  7. I stayed here last weekend with my husband and 10 year old son, I think it was even the same trailer. The campground is very nice and the people friendly. The RV was nice as well, but not as large as you would want with more than 3 or 4 people. The master bedroom is not large enough to get changed in and the dining table is only large enough for 3 adults. That said, I will be going back.

    • Are you positive you stayed int he exact same trailer? That table was huge!!! We ate dinner at the table wit 2 adults and 5 kids! We bought a camper this year, and I wish our table was that big. We stayed in it with 7 people and were more than comfortable!

Oak creek campground has suffered quality issues ever since adventure bound took ownership. The new manager Michael Shaden has turned a fun camping experience into a penny pinching greedy endeavor. This man ruined my family’s last trip of the season. We will never return!

  9. We have visited this park before and it was just ok. The entire park was over crowded and full of golf carts. Bounce house for the small kids is filthy. Quiet hours not observed. Will not go back.

  10. A real disappointment. New management needs anger control classes along with customer service training. Not family oriented – needs a management overhaul. Beautiful campground but what happened to my family is inexcusable and what I have personally witnessed is enough to make any family avoid this park. Considering our options on how to proceed. Such a bad experience that we haven’t camped in almost two years.

We won’t we going back. We heard the manager and his lover Corinne having sex in her camper. It was so loud and disgusting we couldn’t sleep. I thought the manager Mike was not suppose to fraternize with the campers, especially a married one with kids.

    • I mean good for her, but maybe keep it down a bit hun. Lol But with him eww gross. All kidding aside , he has ruined the park and needs to be left go. With the favoritism he shows her and her kids, it’s not fair to the rest of the families. Also where have all the kids activities gone?

Michael Schaden is rude, ignorant, obnoxious, racist, a total bigot and he has no idea how to interact with people. His behavior was kept in check by his former wife Mary Beth who is an absolute sweetheart and worked her tail off to ensure the family activities ran smoothly; however it became obvious to every seasonal camper that Michael and Mary Beth struggled with marital issues because Michael couldn’t keep his pecker in his pants and decided to pray on a much younger married woman. His golf cart is frequently seen parked at site #309 throughout the day, late at night, and even many early mornings. To make matters worse, friends of ours came to visit for the weekend and stayed in the campsite directly across from 309 and had to listen to Corinne and Mr. Michael as he forces the children to call him, go at it all night long. My wife and I really felt bad for Corinne’s husband who showed up the next day and had no idea that his wife was sleeping with that creep the night before. These two are so disgusting…the favoritism is off the charts! Coriine now thinks she owns the place and behind her back the seasonal campers that choose not to be in their click call her the Oak Creek Princess. I simply refer to her as the slut! She struts around all summer long in her bikini with her tits hanging out, barking orders at her 3 beautiful boys, always with a glass of red wine in hand! This type of behavior shouldn’t be tolerated at a family camp ground and Adventure Bound should have fired Michael Schaden when this came to light. We all miss MaryBeth, Mr Michael needs to go, but until more families make the same choice we did and opt to pull out and go elsewhere Adventure Bound will continue to support Michael Schaden’s bad behavior and lack of family values. Unfortunately as long as the money continues to roll in…Mr Michael will continue to treat people badly! I got my wife and family out of there before he decided to ruin another marriage! Oak Creek sucks!!!

    • You nailed it Dan. I camped at Oak Creek as a child and now married with children of my own my husband and I had a seasonal site for 6 years; however after only 2 years with Michael running the place into the ground we pulled out and went to the beach. A family campground is no place for the type of behavior displayed by Michael and his lover! I really feel bad for the 3 little boys that were forced to witness this inappropriate behavior as their “little secret” was no secret and on any given night after midnight while walking my dog the moans and groans of Corinne and Michael could be heard from the street. Who did she think she was hiding it from? Apparently her husband and Mary Beth were the only ones that didn’t know. Corinne asked my older daughter to babysit her boys, but I wouldn’t let my daughter get involved. Getting drunk at the pool all day and sleeping with the ugly manager at night with 3 little ones in your camper is no way to raise children! I don’t know who is more disgusting her or him…one things for sure, they deserve each other! Enjoy your double wide together!! Everyone knew that had been going on for years. We discovered it in the fall of 2013, Lord knows how they hid it from their respective spouses for so long.

  14. That’s great , Thanks you

I was just at oak creek this weekend and the management there sucks. You have pay 20 dollars a day per person to come visit just for the day. And I think they need to read the papers they hand out cause and I quote the children under the age of 21 are not to be left at the campsite by themselves but when you are paying then it is 17. So the owner can thank the manager because not only will I not be going back but the friends that we camping with will also not be returning so you will have 4 extra sites for next year. My friends parents wanted to surprise the family but it would have cost them 40 dollars to spend like 2 or 3 hours there. RIDICULOUSLY!!! That is way to much for what you have there and that is just a pool. No mini golf and oh yeah just one pool

  16. We left as seasonal campers there….we are now at Little Red Barn LOVE IT!!!!!!!!…both Dan and Karen are spot on….my daughter would wait in line for an hour for the “hay ride” and Corinne would show up with drink and kids and tow and jump in line in front of my daughter who had been waiting forever!!!!!! Adding to this, the place is full of cliques and rude seasonal campers, kids who come over and eat your food and just walk in your trailer…another seasonal camper’s dog who is a 200 pound mastiff ATTACKED my dog and almost knocked over my little girl…I complained to Michael (who was too busy with his mistress) who actually said what do you want me to do??? The place is riddles with golf carts speeding….my son almost got clipped a few times….go somewhere else that has values and nice people….
