Mimijumi

Emmitt and I just hit the 11 month mark of nursing! I am very proud of both him and I! Recently I decided to start giving Emmitt water with a bit of juice and since my boobs do not produce water or juice I need a bottle to put them in, but Emmitt is quite picky and nothing is like mommy!

The design of the mimijumi bottle is based on the psychological dynamics of feeding items as transitional objects. The benefits of breastfeeding are well known, but breastfeeding is not always practical in today’s society, and as I stated earlier- try as I might I can not produce apple juice!

Created with input from Designers, Mothers, Nurses, Physicians, and Lactation Experts, mimijumi’s bottles were conceived as  natural, modern and stylish complements to breastfeeding! They are made specifically to make sure your breastfeeding baby does not have nipple confusion.

Now I do not know about you but I have never heard a bottle described at stylish0 but these bottles so are- check out the close ups below! From the slanted middle, to the nonslip base- this bottle screams “I Am Beautiful!”

The mimijumi comes in two sizes- the Not So Hungry (4oz) and the Very Hungry (8oz) depending on how old your baby is and how much the eat! The nipple on the mimijumi bottle is much like that of an actual breast. Baby must latch onto the the nipple, just as they would latch onto the breast.

Of course the bottle is free of BPA and phthalates, the nylon bottle is easy to clean, has a wide mouth for easy filling, a screw on one-piece nipple, and a non-skid base. The soft silicon nipple is textured and colored to resemble skin, and includes an integrated ventilation system to aid in the baby’s digestion.

Emmitt really loves this bottle, he latches right on and chugs away. While I love the red accents of the bottle I find it annoying that the bottom red piece pops off. Emmitt quite often takes it off and chews on it and then I have a hard time finding it after. I wish it was attached to the base of the bottle somehow!
