Disclosure: The curriculum pictured below was sent compliments of The Kindergarten Toolkit.
Making sure your child is prepared for kindergarten is no easy task. You don’t want to push them too hard and make them hate learning, but at the same time there is so much they need to learn before starting school to give them confidence so they excel. That is where The Kindergarten Toolkit comes into play. The Kindergarten Toolkit is a teaching tool for parents to use with children ages 2 thru 6 that fully prepares them for Kindergarten. The kit helps build a basic foundation of reading, writing and math skills. The lessons are simple and written in a way that any parent can be a “teacher” to their child. all you have to do is follow the booklets instructions.
Emmitt and I have been working together using the Kindergarten Toolkit for almost three months now. He loves it and actually brings it to me to do “school work” quite often.
Before starting the kit he knew how to write his name (but not what the letters were) and almost all of his colors. In the past three months he has learned 22/26 uppercase letters, 17/26 lowercase letter, numbers 1-10, as well as what a hexagon, trapezoid and a pentagon are. Not to shabby for three months worth of studying if I do say so myself.
The kit has been a tremendous help to preparing Emmitt for Kindergarten AND I get to use it for Caleb when he is ready too.
Buy It: You can purchase a Kindergarten toolkit for $54 from etsy.com.
Maybe this would help my guy be more interested in writing! ?
This is great! They expect so much more out of them before Kindergarten now than they did when my first (26) started. It’s crazy!!
I wish I knew about this a year ago
I love teaching resources!
This is a very nice toolkit. I thank you so much for the great information.
Thanks for the review, this is exactly what my son needs.
This is just the type of thing I need to start preparing my son for the things he will learn in kindergarten. I believe it’s always better to start teaching him things early- when kids are young they are a sponge for knowledge and want to know everything “Why?” and how things work.
My daughter is 3 and I’ve been starting some “school” time with her. She can recognize 0-10, all the colors, and most shapes, but she still can’t recognize many letters and can’t write at all. This looks like something that would really help prepare her for kindergarten in a few years!
I like the bright colors and shapes. Anything that helps parents like this is a good thing.
This would be great for my granddaughter
This looks like something that would be very beneficial to my daughter.
