Vtech: Switch & Go Dinos

Vtech sent my boys a couple of  Switch & Go Dinos at the beginning of summer. I thought they were adorable and knew my boys would love them. But I had no idea they would become a favorite toy! Switch & Go Dinos combine two of my boys’ most favorite toys– dinosaurs and cars – into a unique 2-in-1 play experience.

Switch & Go Dinos now have an entire line of seven durable, unique and collectable dinosaur toys. Each toy transforms from a dinosaur to a vehicle and back again in a few simple steps, providing two dynamic toys for the price of one. Each Switch & Go Dino comes equipped with a customizable LCD screen and voices vehicle sound effects and educational dinosaur facts. The entire Switch & Go Dinos line – including Sliver the T-Rex, T-Don the Pteranodon, Tonn the Stegosaurus and Horns the Triceratops (SRP: $15.99), Brok the Brachiosaurus (SRP: $49.99), Span the Spinosaurus (SRP: $29.99) and Attila the Ankylosaurus (SRP: $24.99) – are available at www.VTechKids.com and on-shelfs at all major toy retailers.

This time Vtech sent us Attila the Ankylosaurus and Brok the Brachiosaurus! The kids were so excited when they saw them. They were familar with the ‘transforming’ from vehicle to dino but were amazed at how much bigger they were than the smaller ones they have loved so much!

Attila the Ankylosaurus: Attila is the dino who never backs down from a fight and can get you out of any jam! In dinosaur mode Attila comes equipped with a tail that swings back and forth with the press of a button. He makes making roaring dino sounds and says 30 different expressions, like, “I’m an herbivore. I chow down on plants” and, “I’m built like a tank with armor all over my head, back, and sides.” Attila has four animated dinosaur faces on the LCD screen!

In just 5-6 simple steps Attila turns from dino into a  construction vehicle complete with a movable crane. The crane comes equipped with both a  wrecking ball and a tow hook, plus an accessory truck is also provided, which doubles as spikes and armor in dinosaur mode. These accessories, together with Attila the construction vehicle, create a realistic construction set! In vehicle mode, Attila makes several sounds and yells up to 30 phrases, like, “I’m a one man wrecking machine,” and, “Yahoo!” The driver can be customized with four different animated faces.

Brok the Brachiosaurus: Brok is an easygoing and rugged dino, with the personality to reflect it, Brok the Brachiosaurus is the ultimate dinosaur vehicle! Equipped with a motorized neck and legs that move up and down while rolling across the floor, Brok is pretty easygoing, but don’t get on his bad side! In Dino mode Brok will make dramatic dinosaur sounds, and say more than 40 phrases like, “I’m large and in charge!” and even some educational facts, including, “The name Brachiosaurus means arm-lizard.” Brok can be customized with six animated dinosaur faces on the LCD screen and can interact with other Switch & Go dinosaur vehicles.

In just 6-7 simple steps Brok can be changed to vehicle mode! In vehicle mode he serves as a car carrier equipped with a launch pad to send vehicles flying. Brok also comes with an included smaller race car that launches a flying dinosaur when sent down his ramp. In this mode, Brok makes vehicle sounds, and says up to 30 expressions like, “Keep on truckin”, and, “Saddle up partner,” among others. Six animated driver faces are available for customization.

Each of the Switch & Go Dinos that we own are played with daily. They are super durable and the only toy that ‘transforms’ that all of my kids are able to use with out getting frustrated. Vtech recommends your child be 3-8 to play with these dinos but my 18 month old loves them and when my 10 year old nephew comes over he has a ball with them too.

To enter the contest your child can DRAW or BUILD their own Dino, and no purchase is necessary! Submit your entry by October 1st, for your chance to win a lifetime supply of VTech toys, one of 25 Dino toy sets and more! Remember: You don’t need to own a VTech Switch & Go Dino to enter, your child can draw or build one!

I participated in this campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for VTech. I received VTech Switch & Go Dinos product samples to facilitate my review!-

  12. I love Vtech toys… and every time my son sees the commercial for these he says, “That looks fun!”… it’s so cute. The brachiosaurus one is really big! I didn’t realize until I saw your son playing with it. Maybe santa will bring us one… 🙂

  13. my boys would love these

  14. Casandra C. says

Wow, I have never seen this before! My boys would totally love these. They seem much safer and durable than the Transformer toys.

  15. My 4 year old loves these. My only problem with them so far has been watching my son cry when they sort of break and I say sort of because the only thing wrong is that the LCD screen won’t leave car mode. It took months for this to happen and no real cause for it. He takes amazingly good care of his toys. He loves them. Other then that the toys are awesome. He will race them around and end up with them in danger so they have to go dino. Fun to watch.
