Disclosure: Zagg send us a sparq 6000, free of charge to try out!
When I am out and about my iPhone 5 is my lifeline. It is my GPS, my camera, my computer oh and of course my phone too. Because it functions as all of that my battery does not last long, which is a major problem on days that I have to be out of the house for an extended period of time with no way to recharge. I did extensive research on portable batteries and one name that kept popping up was Zagg. Zaggs latest line of portable chargers are go by the name of ZAGGsparq’s. ZAGGsparq’s are different because, unlike most portable chargers, they feature a built-in plug that allows them to recharge and double as a power adaptor.
With a normal portable charger you tote around your phone, phone cable, portable charger, portable chargers cable and a USB power adaptor. The convenient built-in prongs on the ZAGGsparq allow you to leave the portable chargers cable and a USB power adaptor at home.
Charging the ZAGGsparq is easy, I just plug it into any standard wall outlet. I can even charge my iPhone, while I am charging the ZAGGsparq by plugging my phone cable into the ZAGGsparq. The ZAGGsparq fully charges my phone, then charges itself.
The ZAGGsparq 6000 has a 6000 mAh battery that can recharge a smartphone four or more times. It weighs 7.7 oz and is shorter than my iPhone, but quite a bit thicker. However, because it works so very well (and I can ditch a cable and a power adaptor) I don’t mind toting it around with me.
There are five blue LED dots on the front of the ZAGGsparq that indicate the amount of juice available. While the ZAGGsparq charges my phone, the lights do not light up. But pushing the side button illuminates them up to show the battery status. In addition, they light up when charging so you know how full it is.
Did I mention that the ZAGGsparq has two USB ports? That’s right! I can charge my iPhone and my iPad at the exact same time!
Buy It: You can purchase the ZAGGsparq 6000 for 88.04.
This is awesome since I also use my phone for everything. The battery never last long enough.
