Corn Cob Acres – Mountville, PA

Disclosure: I was provided tickets to Corn Cob Acres in exchange for an honest review!

Finding fun things to do with small kids during the fall is so much harder than summer. Thankfully if you are near Lancaster or vacationing this way, Corn Cob Acres can keep your kids and you busy for hours! Corn Cob Acres is the friendlier side of the world famous Field of Screams haunted attraction.

73596_10201598068707788_331169318_nThere are three themed areas inside Corn Cob Acres; the Barnyard, the Pumpkin Patch, and the Wild West. For one price, you get access to all of them. Tickets are $12.00 per person, $6.00 for grandparents and children under two are free. Parking is free and aplenty! There are so many fun things to do at Corn Cob Acres that I simply can not list them all. However if you read on, you will find some of my families favorites, like the free face painting!

1240136_10201598080508083_317052434_nYou heard right- free face painting. Let’s be honest. Lots of outdoor places offer face painting, however there is always quite the fee associated with it. Not at Corn Cob, it is included with your ticket price and your little one can even get both cheeks painted!

1238916_10201598080108073_1085484187_nMy kids spent a ton of time in the corn bin. All it is is a farm-themed alternative to a sandbox, but my kids literally played in it for over an hour.

1236692_10201598070227826_1584054177_nThey also enjoyed the things they could ride on, like the pedal carts-

1238278_10201598072267877_1467093321_nI was worried at first that Ethan was not going to have much fun because he is six, but I think that he had just as much fun as his younger siblings-

644068_10201598075227951_356884567_nMy two and four year olds very favorite attraction was the Haystack Slide. They climbed up it and slid down over and over again!

This looks like a really fun place to go for the fall!! It reminds me of a place I go to every year called Weber’s Farm which is in my area in Baltimore Maryland. I take my almost 3 year old granddaughter there and she loves it and so do I. We are planning a trip in the next 2 weeks.

We live in Illinois which has alot of corn festivals. We enjoy going as a extended family with all nieces to orchards and the festivals, so the kids can ride hayracks and climb in mazes but the adults can shop!!

This place looks like a lot of fun to take the whole family. I sure would love to get the nieces and nephew to go down the Haystack slide. What a wonderful place to spend the day at.

Oh how I wish that we had something like this where I live in NY – we have a farm that the kids can pick pumpkins and walk a hay maze but nothing like the fun you had.

  13. What a fun way to spend the day with the kids. It’s always good to do something outdoors.

  14. I started reading this review thinking, wow, that’d be so fun if only it was somewhere near me. I had no idea you were in Lancaster! I’m in Lancaster County too! (Think antiques, haha.) So now that I know that this place is actually a feasible activity for our family, I’m totally excited to go there on a weekend! Thanks for the info. I moved here almost a year ago so I’m still finding all the family entertainment and this really helps!

I wish we had stuff like this in my city. This is something I would love to do with my family. It looks like a lot of fun. We don’t have a whole lot of fun things to do where I live. Thanks for sharing your experience here. If I lived closer we would definitely go.
