My down stairs rec room is huge! It is 20 feet by 20 feet and it is so hard to decorate! We have a large sectional that divides the room and use one side of it as a kids area and one side of it as an adult area.
When we added the La Z Boy chair I decided to make one nook of the down stairs my own. It helps me drastically to have a space of my own, however the window had no covering and the walls looked so bare.
I a huge fan of Sean Jacobs so I knew for sure that I wanted a piece or two of his in the room. After browsing Gallery Direct for what seemed like hours I finally narrowed it down to the large Night Shade I and Night Shade II!
The blues and browns would accent the blue and brown carpet, as well as the brown chair! We added a simple deep brown curtain hung on a tension rod to cover the window and the space looks completely different! Here is the before and after:

Love the artwork… and we use tension rods for our curtains as well (glad I’m not the only one) but I’m not sure that’s the best way to go… all in all a great improvement and definitely a nice addition to your home and art collection.
