Disclosure: Dodge let me test drive a 2013 Dart for a week!
The 2013 Dodge Dart is Chrysler’s newest spin on a compact-sedan. Filled with technology you crave, comfort you want and affordability you need the Dodge Dart could very well be the perfect car for you and your family!
The Dodge Dart comes with an intuitive interior layout that was actually designed to be both beautiful and ergonomic. Ambient lighting, refined soft-touch surfaces, accent stitching on the dash and seats are just the beginning. The Dart has seats your literally melt into and when your in the drivers seat a 7-inch customizable gauge panel shows you all the information you need- right in front of you! I didn’t even have to take my eyes off the road, even when I didn’t know where I was going because I programmed the the GPS directions pop up under the speedometer!
The 8.4-inch touchscreen is huge for the interior size of the Dart. It is very easy for the driver and the passenger to use- it literally controls everything, music, climate, etc. The keyless entry, heated steering wheel, heated passenger and drivers seat and under passenger seat storage are a few more features that made driving the Dart enjoyable.
Fitting three car seats in the back was possible, but only with slim seats. You could for sure fit two large ones back there as well, but there would be no room for anyone in the middle seat. Pictured below are two Diono Radians and a Combi Coccoro.
Ten standard airbags, reactive front head restraints and available features like Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection all make driving the Dart safe! The Dart was made with accident avoidance in mind. Sure-footed traction with Electronic Stability Control keep you on the road, even if you hit ice by maintaining directional control by applying selective braking and reducing engine throttle during extreme steering maneuvers- like what would happen if you hit ice. Parkview Rear Back Up Camera and ParkSense Rear Park Assist System work together to make moving in reverse easier. Rear Cross Path Detection uses radar in the rear fascia to detect lateral movement on both sides of your car, and warn you when something’s crossing your intended path- all of this is shown on the back up camera!
The trunk looks large, but the hinges make fitting a large stroller almost impossible. A normal sized stroller or an umbrella stroller are about all you can fit into the 13.1 cu. ft trunk, with plenty of room left over for groceries, a diaper bag and road safety kit.
The Dart exterior is very dynamic- much like the Hyundai Elantra. Most compact-sedans look kinda boring, but not the Dart! It’s got a wide front end and upsweeping sides that give it an athletic looking appearance that turns heads!

The Dodge Dart is a beauty, and I did not know that they are still making this car. For only $15,000 this car is a bargain with all the nice stuff that goes with it. What a nice interior with lots of room!
this is a nice car.and is reasonable priced.
Love user-friendly controls and the red trimming them really gives it definition. All that trunk room is what I’m going for. You have to be able to pack groceries and other necessities in it easily.
My husband’s first car was a Dodge Dart and when he saw that they had come out with the model again he stated that it would be his next car. I guess we will be buying one within the next year or so.
