Bell Injector Multi-Sport Helmet

Disclosure: The helmets pictured below were sent compliments of Bell.

Each year over 5,000 young bike riders are  admitted to hospitals and almost half of them are for major head injuries. The sad thing is, most of those injuriescould have been prevented by simply wearing a helmet!

In our house we have a very, very strict helmet rule. If it has wheels, you need a helmet. This rule is easily enforced by me by making sure that my kids have helmets that are comfortable and easily accessible.

IMG_9968A few months ago Bell sent me a few of their Injector Multi-Sport Helmets to try out. They are both bike and skate certified and come in two sizes, youth 5+ and children 8+. Both sizes feature ‘True-Fit’ technology that makes fitting multiple heads or one head for multiple years easy as pie. The hardshell protection is great for the trails or the skate park and ten vents help to keep sweat to a minimum!

The sizing for the 5+ youth helmet is spot on. It fit my five year old model Galen perfectly with plenty of room to grow. You can find helmets for larger heads at www.onlysportsgear.com.

IMG_9983It also fit my seven and a half year old son Ethan-

IMG_9957The sizing for the 8+ childen helmet was a bit off. It fit on my 8 year old model, Mya’s head but it was not a very good fit. She did fit into the youth 5+ helmet quite nicely though.

IMG_9955However it fit Mya’s dad, Paul very well! I  think the 8+ helmet should be marketed more to to 10+ because of this.

  1. Oh this is what we need for Carter! The helmet we got middle summer does not fit well, and I worry about protection from it. I love the true fit technology!!!

I like the true fit because I swear kids grow over night. I don’t want to have to buy helmets each year because of this. These would at least give me a little leeway!

Thank you so much, I need to get my Granddaughter a new helmet and this information has helped me so much.
