Spaghetti in our home is made on a weekly basis. Everyone loves it and it is a super cheap meal to make. The recipe I use is the only way I will make spaghetti. It is my moms recipe, that she learned from her mom and passed on to me, that I grew up eating and nothing beats it!
Making it is super easy, too!
1) Gather all needed ingredients.

2) Open both cans of Hunt’s and place in sauce pan. Add salt, butter and a small chunk of butter. Heat on low.
3) Fill a large pot with water and add a bit of olive oil. Heat on high. When it comes to a rolling boil add Barilla pasta.

4) Break up hamburger into frying pan. Add a bit of Lawry’s and pepper (can also add minced onions if desired). Cook over medium high till cooked through and set aside.

5) When pasta is done. Drain and mix with sauce.
6) Top with hamburger and eat!

Ingredients:
-Box of Barilla pasta (we use small pasta so it is easier for the kids to eat)
-Small can of Hunt’s tomato sauce
-Medium can of Hunt’s diced tomatoes
-1lb of hamburger
-Lawrys
-Salt & Pepper
-Olive Oil
-Butter
Prep Time:
5 Minutes
Cook Time:
15-30 minutes, depending on pasta
Instructions:
1- Mix Hunt’s sauce, tomatoes, salt and a small chunk of butter.
2- Heat sauce mixture on low.
3-Fill a large pot with water and two tabelspoons of olive oil.
4- Bring water to a rolling boil.
5- Add pasta.
6- Crumble hamburger into frying pan, sprinkle with pepper and Lawry’s.
Optional Add minced onions to hamburger mixture.
7- Heat hamburger over medium high till cooked through and set aside.
8- Drain pasta.
9- Mix pasta with sauce.
10- Top with hamburger.
11- Eat
And there you have it. Fast, easy and cheap Spaghetti!

Yum! I never thought of keeping the hamburger separate…that would be nice for us since Victoria seems to be allergic to tomatoes, (major diaper problems) 🙁
I’m glad your younger kids love it. My son will not eat spaghetti with meat in it… for a while he called it chicken. LOL
Im totally going to try this recipe. I feel like a bad mom when i buy spaghetti sauce in the jar
that looks super easy! (and delicious!)
I love spaghetti!
That is so easy and looks wonderful! I would have never thought of adding butter, but butter makes everything better 🙂
Looks devine & easy to make!
Looks delicious AND easy… My kind of recipe!!
Hubby like spaghetti, but I do not like the red sauce, so I never make it. Maybe with tomatoes instead of red sauce it’d be better! I’ll have to try that sometime! 🙂
yummy 🙂
Love the recipe. Great pictures and easy to follow. Thank you!
Wow! It sounds yummy. I will have to try this out.
I’m not one for different but it sure would solve the problem of one saying there is too much burger and one saying not enough. With little noodles I wouldn’t wear as much! haha

My grandma used to use the small shells <3 Love the addition of butter to your sauce.
