Progresso Kitchen Favorites- Chicken Marsala

I have been in a bit of a writing funk the past few days or so. I blame that on our Walt Disney World vacation only being seven days away! We went grocery shopping last night for the last time before we take off and I noticed something new in an aisle we visit quite often. Right next to the Hamburger Helper was Progresso Kitchen Favorites. They looked amazing on the box, but don’t they always? So we decided to pick up a box to try.

Practically everything needed was in the box, all I needed was chicken, butter, oil and water. Super easy to cook. Boil the water, flour the chicken then put it in the hot oil. When chicken is cooked add Marsala wine, and then seasoning powder. Boil pasta till done, drain the water and serve it with the chicken and sauce!

The end result was so much more amazing then I even hoped for. It is not often that food comes out looking like the box image- but this did! It was so good- I just had to blog about it today to show you all how amazing it looked!!

It was a hit for everyone in the entire household. Nathan the picky husband cleaned his plate, even Emmitt the one year old ate an entire chicken tenderloin and noodles!

Buy It: You can find Progresso Kitchen Favorites in a few different varieties at your local grocery store for around 4.00 a box!

Yum that looks good. I have a problem with sauce an chicken but I bet my oldest would luv it and many times I have just a salad with turkey or chicken so that would work.

  9. This product is very tasty. It’s not really new, as it started out as Betty Crocker cookbook favorites, then it became Macaroni grill and then finally kitchen favorites. (all the same boxed dinner mix) It is still the same recipe. (AFAIK) I have been making this for years.

So I bought a box of this last night. Why, I wasn’t sure. Today at work, I was telling one of my coworkers about it and couldn’t remember the name so started searching on google to try and find out what it was.

I am extremely happy that I came across your site because now atleast I have an idea of how good it would be. I am preparing it for my boyfriend, my mom, and myself for dinner tonight! And my mom likes pretty much all of her food bland. So here’s hoping that she will like it and that way we can have more flavorful stuff brought into the house from now on, instead of plain boring food.

It is a family favorite here as well, I just keep buying the different names that offers it, with add ins, this product is as good if not better than an Itailian eatry we have in town.

Our family really likes your Progressive Chicken Marsela. Our stores are discontinuing it. Is it possible to order from your company. If so, how much?

    Thanks.

I have been cooking this for about a year. I add sliced mushrooms and a little bit extra marsala wine. It is better with chicken tenders than breasts.

  15. I cook this but after I sauté the chicken I set chicken aside for a few and in same pan add fresh chopped italian parsley and a bag of sliced mushrooms. When they are cooked through just enough place chicken back in pan and I finish with box directions. Soooooooo good and great color. Anyone try this please post if you like. A total hit with even my daughter.

  16. Oh yeah, and I always use chicken tenders cut in half.

I can not find this product any more at krogers. Can someone else tell me where they are buying it. Pamela

  18. My brother picked this up at the 99 cent Only store. It was so good. I can not find it in any of my local supermarkets though so hopefully the 99 cent or Dollar Tree will carry it so I can stock up.

I fell in love with these this past year. Problem is, I don’t think they still make them as I haven’t been able to find them in any local stores in the Des Moines, IA area

We love this product but are having a difficult time finding it anywhere. We’ve searched Walmart, Kroger , Miejer’s. We live in Flint Michigan area. It was available at Kroger for a while.

  21. They discontinued the chicken marsala, maybe even the whole Kitchen Favorites line… I’m super bummed- these were great and easy!
