I can’t believe I didn’t make these sooner. They are simple, affordable and the kids chow fruit when they are on a stick for some reason! We use this fun snack for birthday parties, BBQ’s and when it gets real hot, we stick them in the freezer and have have Frozen Rainbows!
The ingredients you will use will be based on the season and what area you live in. As you can see above, I have no ‘blue fruit’ on my rainbow stick, blueberries were sold out of the first store I went to and second store wanted 6.99 for a tiny container! The amount of fruit you need depends completely on how many sticks you need to make!
Ingredients:
-Red Fruit- Watermelon, Raspberries, Cherries or Cranberries.
-Orange Fruit- Cantelope, Orange, Peach, Tangerine, Mango or Papaya.
-Yellow Fruit- Lemon, Pineapple or Banana.
-Green Fruit- Kiwi, Apple, Pear, Grapes or Lime.
-Blue Fruit- Blueberries or Grapes.
-Purple Fruit- Grapes.
-Wooden Kabob sticks.
Directions:
-Stick fruit on stick in desired order.
-Eat!
I was inspired to try this when I saw a pin on Pinterest, but when I clicked the pin to see how to make them, it went to a blank page! If this recipe inspires you, makes you hungry or just looks awesome to you- I would love for you to add it to one of your Pinterest boards!

This is a neat way to get kids to learn about colors and eat healthy at the same time. It would be great for a rainbow themed birthday party or even St. Patrick’s Day. It is easily portable (maybe cut off the ends for the smaller kids) and doesn’t involve little fingers touching everything to pick out what they want or scooping anything 🙂
These look so yummy! I’ll have to make some for the babes!
OMGoodness do these look yummy! I really need to lose weight for my health but sometimes it all just looks ho hum. This is different and is like a dessert! Thanks for sharing. I hope I pinned it I really don’t know how.

Wow those are fantastic! I need to make some of these. Thanks for sharing!
These would be great for a little girl’s birthday
My kids would love that, and it’s such a great summer idea! This might even encourage them to eat certain fruits that I usually have trouble getting them to accept.
I love making things like this in the summer! such a great snack for th playground, since you don’t have to touch the fruit with your hands!
