I found a recipe this weekend that I knew I just had to try. Maybe it’s because it’s getting cold out side and thinking about a campfire warms me right up. But I have been thinking about s’mores the past week and this weekend went searching for a way to make the gooey marshmallow treat at home!.
Leave it to Betty Crocker to have a Grand Prize-Winning Recipe from 2006 that is still good! Warm Toasted Marshmallow S’mores Bars! So myself and the kids ran to the store today after school to get all the needed ingredients.
Well let me tell you- they were amazingness. (Is that even a word?) Alright- Alright-Alright, you wanna know how I did it right? Well…
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients
1 pouch sugar cookie mix
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 bag marshmallows
1 bag chocolate chips
See how I made them from start to finish here-
Instructions-
- Heat oven to 375°F.
- In food processes blend one cup of graham crackers
- In large bowl, stir together cookie mix (according to directions) and crackers.
- Press into ungreased 13×9-inch pan.
- Bake 13 to 15 minutes.
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes or until chocolate begins to melt. (I had to pop mine in the oven)
- Spread chocolate evenly over crust.
- Set oven control to broil.
- Sprinkle marshmallows over melted chocolate.
- Broil with top 5 to 6 inches from heat 20 to 30 seconds or until marshmallows are toasted.

So what did I think of them? They were really good. Super easy to make and affordable. They were very rich and messy- but what S’more isn’t? This is definately a desert I will make again!

Your recipe sounds delicious.
I’m a little confused as to where the 1 cup of melted butter goes?
The package of sugar cookies calls for 1 stick of softened butter + 1 egg.
Thanks for the clarification.
Kathi 🙂
