Guidecraft Canvas Book Display

I do not like toys in bedrooms. Bedrooms in my opinion are for sleeping, that is it. However, because we have eight people in our house I wanted a space that they could all use if they needed some quiet space- so I decided to make a corner of their room a reading nook. I looked everywhere for a decent book shelf but everything I found was ugly or looked like it would break easily. When I found the Guidecraft Canvas Book Display I knew it would be perfect for our room! The book display was super easy to set up. It took me maybe 10 minutes and all I needed tool wise was the included alen wrench. … [Read more...]

Nuby: Tub Time Turtle

Emmitt is an odd baby. He loves water, but he really does not like being in the bath tub. Weird right? We have always had a pretty strict rule about no toys in the bath tub because they always get moldy and gross and end up just getting thrown away anyways or I step on them during my shower and end up yelling and cursing in the middle of my, supposed to be relaxing shower! Something had to give to get Emmitt to like the bath tub because I was getting sick of my poor baby screaming bloody murder each and every night during bath time. So I turned to my trusted pals at Nuby to help make his bath time … [Read more...]

LemonAid Crutches

Having a broken bone is no fun. Having a broken bone that you can't walk on is even worse! Getting from point A to point B is no longer as easy as getting up and walking where you want to go. You can crawl, hop or use crutches to help! When I left the ER after finding out I had indeed broken my bone they sent me home with an ugly, uncomfortable pair of standard crutches that I quickly learned to hate. They were super painful to use and when I gimped around with them they made loud "look at me" squeaks that had everyone with in a mile turning around and looking at me! I discovered CastCoverZ when … [Read more...]

DryCast

When I left the hospital with my huge splint on my leg, one of the first things I thought about was: "how in the world am I going to shower?". My first shower I tried the trash bag method. The top cotton part of my splint got all wet and I was uncomfortable the rest of the day. My next bath, I used DryCast! DryCast is a simple, easy to use and is reusable! Picking your correct size DryCast is super easy, you just measure the total height of your cast and the circumference of the widest part and the DryCast will easily slip right over. Using  the DryCast on was super easy, I simply stretched the … [Read more...]

Thompson’s Oxy Cleaner and Deck Stain

I few years ago when we decided to purchase a home we wanted to make sure that we found our dream home. After six months of looking, we almost gave up. But then we found it. Our dream home was the perfect distance from the city but was also close to the country that we have come to love! It had the perfect kitchen, two living rooms for our large family and the bedrooms were huge! The only thing we were not in love with was our deck- or should I say lack of a deck. If you look at the picture to the right you will see a sliding glass door on our second story. If you look close- the door is open and … [Read more...]
