Disclosure: Audi let me test drive the 2013 Q5 for a week!
The 2013 Audi Q5 is beautiful crossover that is compact yet extremely versatile. If you have two kids, and are looking for a quality family vehicle that is able to tote around the kids, all their gear and your husband with luxury features that will keep everyone happy while the vehicle is in motion- the Q5 could be perfect for you.
The Q5 looks much like a sedan, but the interior offers so much space. Driver and passenger have plenty of leg room, with out bothering rear passengers. The exterior of the Q5 is simply breathtaking. The Singleframe grille and LED daytime running light technology make onlookers look again, it sticks out in a crowd in a good way. Then on the inside the leather seating surfaces, panoramic sunroof and intuitive controls allow you to ride in comfort!
Audi advanced driver assistance and infotainment technologies allow you to keep your eyes on the road, all the time. Audi connect with Google Earth provides weather, news, local search and a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to eight passenger devices. Audi drive select lets you personalize the driving experience. And the Audi parking system with rear view camera helps you park with ease.
The back seat is the only down fall I found with the Q5. If you only have two kids then there will be no problem, but if you have more or plan to have more a third simply will not fit. My 9 year old is legally old enough to ride in a vehicle with just a seat belt and there was not enough room for his hiney in between two installed car seats. There are four LATCH anchors and two tether anchors in the back seat- which makes installation of car seats on the outboard seats a cinch!
Once you have your two rear passengers buckled and ready to go you can stuff alllllll their stuff in the huge trunk! There was plenty of room back there for all my groceries and a single stroller.
