2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

With a host of styling refinements for 2013, the Outlander Sport redefines what an affordable crossover can be. The Outlander Sport is much like its big brother the Outlander, but smaller! With up to 49.5 cubic feet of cargo room and seating for five, the Outlander Sport is designed to fit you! Rated at 25 city MPG and 31 highway by the EPA with a starting sticker price of only 19,170.00, it is the perfect every day car for smaller families.

The Outlander is a stylish little crossover! The newly redesigned front and rear fascia, along with a two-tone color scheme added to its already sculpted physique really makes it stand out in a crowd- not once did I lose this baby in a busy parking lot. Interior features, like the panoramic glass roof, heated seats, nine speaker Rockford Fosgate Punch premium sound system and wicked-cool 7-inch LCD touchscreen both make being inside the Outlander fun!

The rear seat is a 60/40 that folds flat, and has a fold-down armrest with cupholders when a third passenger isn’t in the middle. There is plenty of room for two huge car seats, or three small ones. If you have older kids that sit in the back, they will be quite impressed with the legroom and if you need cargo space, you’ll be even more impressed. Pictured below is a Combi Coccoro and a Britax Pavillion.

There’s 21.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat, and 49.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded flat.  A large double or jogging stroller easily fits in the back of the Outlander Sport. I kept our double stroller in the trunk for our entire test drive and was also able to fit two weeks worth of groceries in it, no problem!

Standard safety features on the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport include front side airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver-side knee airbag, antilock disc brakes, hill start assist, traction control and stability control. In government crash testing, the Outlander Sport received four out of five stars for overall crash protection, with four stars for overall frontal-impact protection and four stars for overall side-impact protection. In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, the Outlander Sport scored “Good” (the highest possible rating) in the agency’s frontal-offset and side-impact tests.

I like the Sun Roof on this car, and that it has lots of room for the family. Also the color is nice and I can see myself hauling tons of stuff with the seats put down. Great Mitsubishi car to own. The gas mileage is decent.
