Disclosure: Chrysler let me test drive a 2015 200C for a week!
If affordability, comfort, luxury and style are something you crave, the 2015 Chrysler 200 could very well be the perfect vehicle for you. Starting at just $26,000.00 and offering 23 city/36 highway miles per gallon this vehicle makes the perfect vehicle for long distance travelers looking for a luxury vehicle with out paying too much. The 2015 model is a fresh take on the 200 sedan. The front of the vehicle was completely redesigned. The front end now features a smooth, rounded, and capped with a stylish grille. The interior cabin provides a quite contemporary atmosphere that really matches its sleek exterior. The dash is covered with tri color materials which really makes the entire dash pop! The tires it comes with hug the road, new ones could be purchased from Tyre-Shopper if you plan on doing offroading.
The premium Driver Information Display now comes standard on the, The 7-inch display allows for a wide range of customization, including displays for audio, digital speedometer, compass, temperature, fuel economy, trip computer, navigation, tire pressure monitor, maintenance notifications and engine performance.
I found the front seats to be extremely roomy and comfortable with leather, ventilated seats for both the passenger and driver. The dual-zone automatic temperature control system with a humidity sensor allowed both the driver and front passenger to select and maintain their ideal comfort level. I was able to sit comfortably in the passenger seat for a four hour road trip, no problem.
The rear seat was really difficult to access for both my husband and I. Putting the kids in their car seats was very difficult. The rear seat features 60/40-split back seat with a trunk pass-through, and a flip-down seat armrest that includes storage and cup holders. We were able to fit two large car seats on both the outboard seats with room for a small child to sit in between the two in a seat belt.
The trunk on the 200 is huge. That is a Stokke Xplory stroller in the trunk above and I still had plenty of room left over for groceries, luggage or anything else I decided I wanted to take along on our trip!
You can tell Chrysler kept safety in mind when they build the 200. The vehicle received an over all 5 star ranking from NHTSA and features an awesome SafetyTec Package, that includes a lane departure warning system with Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go functionality, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and ParkSense Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist. The vehicle is also equipped with eight airbags to help protect occupants in the event of a collision, including advanced dual-stage front airbags with adaptive venting technology, roof side rail airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags and front-seat-mounted side-impact airbags.
