Last week I flew from warm and sunny Florida out to cold and snowy Detroit to take a look at the all new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, and I am so glad I did. It is a total game changer for many families, including families who live on the road full time!
Boasting an impressive 80MPGe with a 30 mile all electric driving range is enough to make me scream and shout hooray! But when I crunched the numbers, I was even more impressed. The average full time family goes to the front of the campground, the local national park and the grocery store, only wandering 10-15 miles away from the campground they are currently at. So in theory you could never have to use a drop of gas with the Pacifica.
No need for a fancy charger for the Pacifica, you can plug right into the second outlet in any RV park and charge the Pacifica in 12-14 hours with a simple 110V outlet. Towing it behind you is also easy peasy. Only the front wheels need to be off the ground.
