My boys have always loved trains, and recently they sparked an interest in the PBS show Caillou. So when I saw that Caillou and Rosie had a learning train I knew my my boys had to have it!
I fell in love with it the second I realized it did not come with batteries! All toys now a days need batteries and we are constantly changing them out for fresh new ones! The Caillou Learning Train was created for children ages 1 to 3, but my seven year old and four year old boys play with this more than my one and three year old!
The train comes with two figures- Caillou and his little sister Rosie. They come apart into three different pieces and then can be snapped back together. This is great for small motor skills- but the only thing I do not like about this toy. My kids get upset when a head falls off and seem to be constantly losing one part or another.
Features include-
· Squeeze the steam to hear it squeak
· Move the colorful bead shapes along the bar
· Move the bell on the detachable train car to hear it ring, and more
· Includes Caillou and Rosie figures
· Dimensions: 14″ x 6″ x 9″
To make the train go all they have to do is wind the green key and the Caillou Learning Train will take off. The puff of smoke honks when you squeeze it and the Caillou figure moves up and down when the train is moving! My kids also love the shape toggle on the back of the train. Carlee even knows all three shapes now!
The Caillou Learning Train is super sturdy and has experienced many tumbles down the stairs. If you can keep all the parts together (which we can not) this is a toy that will last your child a very long time!
