Gallery Direct: “In the Canyon II” by Sean Jacobs

Gallery Direct is a privately held company run by two guys with a vision: Affordable Fine Art For Everyone! Top echelon artwork is super expensive and I myself, as a busy mom just can not afford to spend 1,000’s of dollars on artwork! Gallery Direct has blown me away. They use the very best materials and still offer the very best prices I have ever seen!

I browsed the Gallery Direct site for weeks before deciding the perfect piece for me. After all- I plan for this to hang in my home for a very long time so I must be sure I loved it! I needed a canvas that would tie my upstairs rooms together. I have an odd layout upstairs that is very open- but the bathroom and pantry are smack dab in the middle- creating a square space in between my dining, kitchen and living room. I needed a piece to pull all the rooms together!

The prices of the artwork was so low I figured shipping would be insane. But- As long as you live in the lower forty-eight states you are eligible for the $14.99 shipping program! That is right- for 14.99 your order, even if it is an extra-huge piece will be ground shipped straight to your house! That is a great price I know first hand because all other art sales sites start shipping at 19.95!

As most all of you know I am kind of addicted to red (you can shop by art piece color at Gallery Direct!). So my kitchen mini appliances and towels are red, as is the rug in my living room. So I searched for a red, but not to much red piece that would fit just perfect. I also needed something that could be printed big- and wanted something not many people would have. I like unique items!

I knew for sure I wanted a ” limited editions” print. They are an exclusive, part of a series of 950 prints. Each signed and numbered image (canvas and paper prints only) are recreated from the original source material. I was given full customization of my image (size, substrate, frame type, etc) so I know this is a unique item!

I finally decided on the “In the Canyon II” by Sean Jacobs in XL (34×48). I figured it would be a few weeks, if not a month before I got my painting. But to my surprise it was here in a bit over one week. The canvas was huge! For 168.00 this was a serious steal! But that is how all the artwork is priced at Gallery Direct!

Hanging our canvas was super easy. All I had to do was purchase a nail. We had already picked the perfect wall for our canvas, so as soon as I got my nail I had my husband hang it. Beautiful isn’t it?

The canvas is everything I could have asked for and more. It has had multiple toys thrown into it over Christmas and each time I cringed! It is a huge piece at the top of our stairs so it gets lots of ‘traffic’ and bumps. Not only does the painting not budge when moved, the canvas has with held multiple shoes, a baby doll or two, keys and numerous blocks and did not rip, tear or anything. Highly impressed with the quality. Highly impressed that it is a “kid proof” piece of artwork!

Before Gallery Direct I never even looked at artwork because it was out of my price range. But since finding Gallery Direct I even have found a favorite artist. I have high hopes and plans to fill my entire home with Sean Jacobs artwork and all with out breaking the bank!

Sean Jacob uses artistic influence of Giacometri, David Hockney, Larry Rivers, and Man Ray to form his own unique art expression: all his artwork uses an uninhibited explosion of freedom and spirit. His palette is different from other artists. He uses colors found in nature that convey a sense of serenity and calm through chaotic precision -a type of contradiction that has served to create a unique vision with a contemporary flair. Jacob’s artwork can be found in many private, public, and corporate collections across the country and now I have become part of the Gallery Direct and Sean Jacobs family!

I am thinking my artwork purchase will be two pieces for in between my curtains in the living room- again pulling in bits of red. It looks so bare right now with nothing there.

Which red art pieces do you think would look best here?

I like the Flower Dance I or the Romance I. Hard to tell for sure from the pic if the colors would work with the curtains, but they’re both beautiful!

  2. I really like the Cali Lilly on Deep Red I. It’s pretty, and would go well with the brown curtains! 🙂
