My Solution For Winter Toy Storage!

Disclosure: This post brought to you by Step 2.

Each and every spring we go through all the kids toys. Some get donated, some get resold and some get recycled. One of the issues we run into from December- March is where to store the extra toys the kids acquire during winter months, specifically Christmas. Our toy box ends up over flowing and the toys end up all over the floor, which makes our toy room look like a war zone.

Well I put my thinking cap on and thought for a while and came up with one genius idea! Turn the kids wagon into a toy box during the months it’s to cold to use it outside!!! An excellent storage solution AND a place to store our Step2 wagon!

Way to get creative!! I love when I get more than one use out of a purchase, and this is great because your wagon wont get weather damage. I’ve been wracking my brain for creative storage solutions lately. Why is there always so much stuff!?

It looks so well organized. I need to start looking at all the toys and follow your advise. There is just so many toys that can be used and when organized by season/activity it will be so much easier to keep them in control and not all over the house.

Great ideas! So creative! In winter it gets hard with kids and toys because they tend to be indoors more often and they tend to make more messes. A new way to organize is very helpful!

Love the idea! I take the outside toys in and store them in our basement(Its big so we have the room to do that) As far as storage goes we go throught the toys, kids and I and pick out the ones that rarely played with and we bag them up for donation and some of the real pricy ones we put to the side for our summer multi family sale.

Great ideas! I especially like the idea of using the wagon as storage for summer toys during the winter!

Nice way to think outside of the box! I would not of thought of that, and just have thrown the wagon into the garage/shed until spring time. I have an almost 8 month old, and don’t have a wagon yet, but this would be something to keep in mind for next year (I am sure I will have one by then). That is if I don’t get the wagon that I have been eyeing – a wagon that converts to a sleigh in the winter
