Disclosure: I am partnering with Toyota to bring you this post!
I have test drove many, many vehicles since purchasing my first one. I believe that test drives at a dealership are extremely limited because you don’t have a ton of time. You do learn many things during that twenty or thirty minute drive, but you don’t really get a feel for the vehicle. For the past few months, my hiney has been driving and riding around in the brand new 2014 Toyota Sienna and I’ve got to say- my hiney is happy!
The 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat allows myself and my husband to achieve superior comfort. He is 6 feet tall and I am a mere 5′ 3″ which makes finding one seat that we can both get comfortable in very, very difficult. Because our ideal seats are so different, the seats memory buttons are very handy. We do not have to struggle to readjust the seat every single time, just push a button. The steering wheel also tilts and telescopes to position properly over our comfortable seating position.
Getting the proper seat position is very important, but on cold mornings the heated seats are by far my favorite feature. I love leather seats because of how easy they are to clean, but I do not love how cold they are on a freezing December morning. The heated seats solves that problem and solves it fast. They only take about three minutes to fully warm your hiney.
Keeping your hiney comfortable is super important, but you also have to worry about the rest of your body and the three-zone automatic climate control does just that. My husband prefers things a bit cooler and the kids and I like it warmer. Individual temperature settings for driver, front passenger and rear-seat passengers allow us all to set our ideal temperature and the Sienna takes care of the rest!
If your looking for a vehicle that will make your hiney happy- The Sienna is the way to go!
I really love the temperature control feature. I always like it a little warmer than my husband!
My husband and I are the same heights as you and yours. We also find being able to adjust the seat and steering wheel very important as we both have different needs. With him being tall it is also important to be able to comfortably get in and out of the vehicle.
After I froze for 2 hours with a dead battery, heated car seats and heat on full blast thawed me out in my son’s car , while we waited another 30 minutes for the tow truck which didn’t show. Having a car with 3 zones of comfort for heat or air is great because comfort makes a car ride so much better.
