KFC’s Dip’ems

Disclosure: This post brought to you by KFC.

Fast food chicken.. What do you think about it?  For me, it is not an every night thing, but occasionally it honestly saves my butt! It’s super tasty and a great time saver on nights that I simply do not have the time (or the energy) to cook an entire meal for seven people. KFC recently polled a large group of moms because they wanted to know what we really thought of fast food chicken, and the results are pretty interesting… IMG_890649% agreed that it was tasty and 33% agreed it was super easy- however 89% wondered about the quality of the chicken. 95% of those moms would for sure buy fast food chicken strips for their family if they knew the chicken was freshly-prepared and hand-breaded and 96% would serve their family fast food chicken strips for their family if they knew the chicken was 100% real breast meat! IMG_8907The survey was inspired by a mom and kid favorite – KFC’s Dip’ems.  KFC’s Dip’ems are a bucket of 20 extra crispy tenders served with six tasty sauces (Honey BBQ, Creamy Ranch, Creamy Buffalo, Honey Mustard, Orange Ginger and Bacon Ranch). The strips are all-breast meat, freshly-prepared and hand-breaded and the six dipping sauces makes eating fun for kids! IMG_8908We picked up a Dip’ems family meal the other day and I was amazed that the one meal deal fed all of us. You get 20 chicken strips, 4 biscuits and two large sides. We chooese mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as our sides and the kids devoured them as fast as the strips! Getting to dip their chicken in six plus different sauces makes my kids feel like they are getting to ‘play’ with their food, which keeps them at the table longer. This means they leave full and are not bugging me an hour later for more food! I could not believe how much chicken each of my little ones consumed! 2. My whole family loves KFC, from back when it was called by its full name. I love their Cole slaw! Their new tv commercials with actor George Hamilton are fall-down funny. Connecting his “tan-ness” to the new crispy chicken is genius!
