Disclosure: The TravelPod featured below was provided compliments of KidCo.
One thing I have learned living in an RV is just because I don’t have a ton of space, does not mean I have to sacrifice quality and comfort when it comes to baby gear. There are so many different baby gear products on the market made for small spaces and the KidCo TravelPod is currently one of our favorites.
The TravelPod is one of the lightest play yards I have ever used, at just over 10lbs. It is recommended for children up to three years of age, or 37 inches. I found the sleep area to be larger than normal, and appreciated that I could use a normal pack and play sheet on the bottom. It fit in our large bunk room no problem. The mesh sides kept airflow going and allowed me to see Caleb from all sides. It also allows him to see out all sides, which keeps him occupied inside the TravelPod for longer amounts of time, especially when we are outside. The material has zippers, which allow for easy removal of fabric for machine washing.I found the TravelPod very easy to assemble and I love that it comes with a carry case that it packs right into when not in use. Disassemble takes quite sometime, and could really use an upgrade. All of the legs have to come off and then you have to fold the upper rails and the fabric together. Baby Bjorn makes something similar and the legs never need to be removed, just folded into the upper rails. If your looking for a lightweight, comfortable place for your child to sleep that also does not take up much space, then the TravelPod is perfect for you.
