We are an on the go family. With 6 kids we kind of have to be. Between school, sports, after school activities I am always toting foods and drinks for the kids around with me, some days full lunches need to be transported with us!
I can can not even keep track of how many times I have had to throw away food and drinks and buy more because what I packed is no longer cold! I have a handy dandy lunch box and ice pack- but they just don’t stay cold for as long as I need them to. After throwing away 6 peoples lunches a few weeks ago, I called packing lunches quits and we just started grabbing food on the go.
Unhealthy and expensive was all that was.

We use our PackIt for lunches and snacks most often- but I also bring one with us when ever we go on a longer car trip. A 99 cent juice box from the local store when the kids get thirsty isn’t a big deal! But when you times it by four or five thirsty kids, it really adds up. I have seriously been on the search for something that will actually keep food cold for an extended amount of time when we are out and about! I bet these would be good for bottled breast milk, too. I will definitely check into it!
That is super cool – I know this would be great for this summer – when we take my son on the boat. What better way to keep Juice boxes cold on a hot day.
We live in FL so this looks way cool…the sweating factor is a bit concerning for sending it to school though wish there was a good solution for that. Thanks for the review.
DON’T ORDER – I bought one of these deals on 5/24 from Packit. They did not even mail it out till 6/7 (and it was for a BDay present) I was told I would get it by the 19th as the latest – now Im told ” Package returned to sender by local post office due to incorrect address. Contact sender for further assistance.” – I can NEVER reach anyone – their phone system is junk too.
My son saw this on TV and he thought it would be great for his school lunch, we went ahead and ordered two (one for myself also). I tried it for the fist time today. I followed the direction (12 hours in the freezer). I packed it straight out of the freezer at 6:30 and ate lunch at noon. I opened the bag expecting it to be cool. The meat on my sandwhich was warm and my cheese stick was luke warm at best. I am very disapointed with the product and definitely would not recomend. If you have a frig at work it should keep it cool enough to get from home to work but otherwise don’t waste your time or you lunch!
My son also thought this would be great for his lunches. I am sorry to say the same thing happened as it did to Shawn that posted on the 16th. I have an ice pack that stays frozen till the end of school day. I am kicking myself in the butt for spending this much money on these. I was hoping that it was something that would last the whole school day just in case my son would finish his whole lunch food wouldnt be wasted. that isnt the case with this. Sorry to say not worth the money.
I purchased the 2 for 1 deal from the website. I would have done better buying it from my local Marshall’s store. The cheesy water bottle was cheaper than any bottle Purchased in a Dollar Store. The snapIt does not work as well as advertised. It was a waste of my money.
I agree with the majority, this product is such a waste of money. I bought 2 of these. My salad container was already sweaty by lunch time. My yoghurt was warm as well. I should have kept my lunch box and put ice packs in it. This is not different from any other lunch boxes I already have plus the ice pack.
