Located on the 75-acre island of Ohio Key, near Big Pine Key in the lower Florida Keys Sunshine Key RV Resort provides the perfect gateway for anyone looking to vacation in the tropical island chain.
Sunshine Key is open year round and has 399 sites available. It can accommodate any size rig, and offers a large variety of rental units.
The second you pull in you are greeted by a friendly gate guard (who is there 24/7) that will show you where to park while you do your check in paper work. Sites are assigned and finding yours is easy as pie with the easy to read road signs.
Pulling into our water front site was very easy. The ground was very level, we didnt even need to level left to right. There was plenty of room for both our 42″ fifth wheel and our large truck with ample living space left over.
See that? That’s the Gulf of Mexico. Just 30 feet away. My kids splashed, snorkeled and found hundreds of shells right in our back yard. They would have been happy spending our entire stay in that back yard, but Sunshine Key is close to so many amazing things to do and places to see we adventured out almost every day because Key West was only an hour away.
We don’t currently have a boat, but for those that do, Sunshine Key has a marina, that offers access to both the Atlantic ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. They also have dry rack storage for boats.
If relaxing is on your to do list while in a tropical paradise, the pool offers plenty of seats to lounge in, with ample shade.
They also have a lending library for both .books and movies.
And a nice sized gym for those looking to stay active, even on vacation.
If you happen to stay at Sunshine Key for an extended period of time, you’ll be happy to know that their laundry room has been fully upgraded. Both the washers and the dryers (that are normal household size) are equipped with card readers. And if you forgot laundry detergent, you can grab a bottle of Tide from the store.
Grocery shopping while staying at Sunshine Key was easy, there was a Pulix just 15 minutes away. We ran out of milk one night at 3AM, and were able to buy it at a Tom Thumb just 10 minutes up the road. Both our Verizon and our AT&T signal worked very well the entire time we were at the park!
Thank you for your report , what was your number field ?
