Fisher Price: Playtime Together Dora & Me Dollhouse
I have been looking for a doll house for Carlee for quite some time. However it seemed like each one that both Carlee and I liked was either to big or looked far to breakable for a three year old. When I saw the Fisher Price Playtime Together Dora & Me Dollhouse I knew it would be perfect for us. Carlee is in love with Dora and all of the pieces and the house looked extremely durable. "You’re invited to a playdate at Dora’s house! There’s so much to do & explore! Make crafts, play games, have a tea party or prepare for a fiesta with Dora & her family! Press the button to hear real house … [Read more...]
New Jammies: Dino-mite Snuggly PJ’s
Did you know some of your kids pajamas may be made of chlorinated and brominated flame retardants, inorganic flame retardants such as antimony oxides, and phosphate-based compounds? I can't pronounce half of those words, which means I really do not feel comfortable letting my kids wear them. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requires pajamas made and marketed to children to meet certain flammability requirements to prevent the risk injury from fires. For the most part, the risk is a loose sleeve or pant cuff catching an open flame. So, sleepwear intended for children between the ages … [Read more...]
Tsukihoshi Euro Shoes
I have a hard time putting into words how frustrating it is buying shoes around here. It seems that every two months I have to buy a new pair of sneakers for my kids because the old ones have worn out, become uncomfortable or one gets lost. Carlee has been wearing and loving her Tsukihoshi Euro shoes for almost four months now with no issues. We love the sneaker so much, I have a hard time putting her into any of her other shoes. They have all the features of a great kids shoe and are a pretty adorable color if I do say so myself! "With a long and storied existence dating back to 1873, … [Read more...]
Joovy: 4×4 Ride-On
Move Over Barbie: There is a new Jeep in town. And it's faster and cooler. It's the Joovy 4×4 Ride-On! My kids have asked for a Ride-On car many times. However every time I have gone with my husband to look at one they all looked huge and very cheaply made. There is just no room in my house to store a huge power wheel vehicle- so even though I knew my kids would love one- it was just not an option for us. When I saw the Joovy 4x4 Ride-On- I knew I had finally found the ride-on for us. The 4x4 is a top-of-the-line battery powered vehicle for toddlers 3-5. It boasts, in my book at least the … [Read more...]
2012 STRIDER ST-3 Balance Bike
None of my kids, teenager included know how to ride a bike. I really wanted to get them all bikes this summer, but 6 kids who don't know how to ride a bike, plus one parent trying to teach them all at the same time did not seem like a very great idea! I did quite a bit of research and decided we would get the younger kids balance bikes this year. The STRIDER balance bike helps to teach kids balance and coordination- both of which my kids need before I put them on a normal bike. Traditional bicycles place too much of the focus on learning to pedal -- skimping on developing the proper motor skills and … [Read more...]
Bratz True Hope Doll
The very beginning of this year, cancer advocate Jane Bingham launched a Facebook page asking Mattel to introduce a bald version of the well known Barbie doll to support children with cancer. Mattel quickly responded to Bingham with a letter stating that they do not accept submissions from consumers- lame right? Well when the Beautiful And Bald Barbie movement took off and accumulated more than 160,000 Facebook “likes,” the toy maker announced it would produce 10,000 limited-edition bald Barbie dolls to donate exclusively to U.S. children’s hospitals. Bingham was excited they agreed to do … [Read more...]
